GREEN BUILDING

Tirong Estate supports the green building movement. All property developed within the estate is done in accordance with the standards set out by the Green Building Council South Africa. As a result our buildings are more energy efficient, resource efficient and environmentally responsible.

As members of the GBCSA, we have access to a user-friendly Green Rating application in the form of an online software platform called EDGE. To receive an EDGE certification, a minimum saving of 20% in energy, water and the embodied energies must be attained. This EDGE rating not only guarantees a design standard but that the final built home complies with the globally recognised EDGE standard.
